At Eastern Soy Products, we believe healthy eating shouldn’t be a foreign concept it should come straight from our own soil.

Our family has been crafting pure Sri Lankan tofu for over 30 years, but our story is more than just business. Back in 1994, my father, Gamini Brandigampola, was a delivery driver for a small tofu maker. When the owners decided to migrate, they didn’t sell him the business they gifted it to him, moved by his honesty and relentless hard work.

Together with my mother, Swarna Brandigampola, they spent countless nights perfecting what would become our signature medium-firm tofu. It took months of trial and error, testing every ratio and method until they landed on the recipe that’s now loved by thousands across Sri Lanka.

Back then, we supplied just 8 hotels. Today, we proudly serve many more hotels and restaurants, and you’ll find us on the shelves of leading supermarkets and vegan shops making healthy, local tofu accessible to Sri Lankans who care about quality.

This isn’t just a business; it’s our family’s life. As teenagers, my brother and I grew up helping our parents in every part of it learning firsthand the value of hard work, community, and staying true to our roots. Today, that small sole proprietorship has grown into a private limited company, ready to serve even more families across the island.

We remain committed to using only locally sourced soybeans and sustainable energy, because we care deeply about our communities and our planet. More than anything, our mission is to help Sri Lankans discover the health benefits of tofu through easy recipes, trusted quality, and making it simple to enjoy every day.
